Day trips from marrakech to atlas mountains sits at the foot of Mount Toubkal and is the starting point for many different treks in the High Atlas Mountains, A short journey from Marrakech, this day excursion will provide you with a break from the heat of intensity of Marrakech.
Our driver will meet you at your accommodation (or preferred pick up point) at 9.00am to start the transfer to Imlil. On your way you will pass through the town of Tahnaout. You will then continue on through Asni where on a Saturday a traditional Berber Souk and market can be visited.
Once you arrive in Imlil you will stop for a welcome glass of mint tea and meet your guide before commencing your trek. Your guide will help you decide on the length of trek you want to do (between 1 and 3 hours) and then you will make your way either on foot or riding on a Mule up to Armed the highest and the biggest village in Imlil Valley
the guide will point out things of interest and talk to you about the Berber culture and heritage along the way. You will have the opportunity to have mint tea with a Berber family as you come down through the village of Ait Souka and you will then enjoy a traditional Moroccan meal in a family Berber guest house. You will then continue your journey back to Marrakech, arriving back in Marrakech at approximately 6.00pm.
