The paths are quite difficult in places because... read more the stones can make your feet slip. So having Rachid as our guide with Ali as muleteer and cook was BRILLIANT! Rachid was an excellent guide who altered our itinerary to reflect the fact that I was rather ill at the time. Normally I lose weight on treks but with Ali producing banquets for three meals per day I didn't. Rachid organised all the accommodation which varied in quality but when in the mountains you don't expect the Ritz. In Imlil valley we had a wonderful room with a comfortable double bed and an en suite shower room. Fabulous. If you're heading for the Atlas get hold of Rachid. He's a good guy. …
