Bike ride through the vibrant city of Marrakech / city bike tour
Tour Overview
Explore the older parts of Marrakech on a bike route that follows the ancient city walls and goes into the busy streets of the Medina.
Seeing the city from a bike gets you close to things. You can move at your own pace, led by local guides who know the shortcuts through the narrow backstreets. We skip the big boulevards to stay in the maze of the old town, where you can see the local life.
Highlights of the tour:
The Koutoubia Mosque: We start the ride at the foot of this 12th-century mosque. It is the most famous landmark in the city and our starting point before we head into the older neighbourhoods.
The Souks: We ride through market alleys where traders have sold spices, textiles, and leather goods for generations. Our guides help you get through the crowds safely.
The Kasbah and City Gates: We cycle along the high terracotta walls of the old city and stop to see the stone carvings on the Bab Agnaou gate.
Artisans at Work: We stop at Place des Ferblantiers to see the tinsmiths making lanterns. It is a chance to see how traditional Moroccan metalwork is actually made by hand.

Itinerary
1 Marrakech City Tour
Marrakech by bike: A full day exploring the city Spend a full day seeing the different sides of Marrakech on a guided bike tour. We’ll take you through the famous landmarks and the quieter local spots that most visitors miss. The route is designed for anyone who can ride a bike, so you don't need to be an athlete to join in. You’ll cover much more ground than you would on a walking tour, but you still get that close-up connection to the streets that you lose when you're in a car or a bus. It is a great way to see how the city’s ancient history lives right next to its modern side. What we will see: The old city: We start by riding through the areas around Jemaa el Fna and the Koutoubia Mosque. We will stick to the wider paths on the edge of the Medina and pass through Place des Ferblantiers, where you can see the local metalworkers busy in their shops. The modern side: Next, we head into Gueliz, the part of the city built during the French era. The streets here are wide and lined with palms and Art Deco buildings. We will also stop briefly outside the Jardin Majorelle to see its famous bright blue architecture. The gardens: Finally, we leave the busy streets behind for the Menara gardens. It is a peaceful spot full of old olive groves. On a clear day, the Atlas Mountains make a great view behind the gardens’ central pool.
