6 Day Luxury Mountain Biking Tour in the Atlas Mountains from Marrakech

This is an all inclusive 6 days luxury mountain biking tour through beautiful Morocco. The tour starts in Marrakech and then heads to the wonderful Atlas Mountains. Then to and through the majestic Atlas Mountains and back to Marrakech. We will ride anywhere from 20 to 50 km a day which can be customized each day with your feedback to make sure it’s a mountain biking adventure of a lifetime. Your guide and driver are there to serve you and ensure you leave Morocco with lasting memories. Everything is included on this tour. High quality Giant Bikes or canondal, lightweight Giant helmets, professional guide, full support vehicle, water, snacks, 3 meals a day including excellent Moroccan cuisine, accommodation, and beautiful Moroccan landscapes.

Day 1: Ourigane Valley (B,L,D)

Pick up from your Marrakech hotel at 8am after breakfast. Transfer to the Atlas morning bike through the salt mines of the Ouirgane Valley then a 7km climb to a Berber village for lunch overlooking the valley and on to the high mountain donkey trails and back to your hotel – pool, hammam and a well deserved Moroccan dinner awaits. Day 2: Toubkal, Imlil, and Asni (B,L,D)

Have breakfast and at 9am, an 4×4 vehicle takes you up the mountain through famous hiking village of Imlil and beyond to the valley under Mount Toubkal. A rolling ride with some moderate climbs and great views. Take a tea break near a high mountain stream and ride down to Asni for lunch. Day 3: Plateau de Kik to Lake Takerkoust (B,L,D)

At 9am after breakfast, get on the bike! Today you’ll leave Ouirgane Valley and take on a technical 4km uphill to leave the lush green surrounding ridge to descend onto dry village dotted plain of Kik and on to the distant lake of Lalla Takerkoust for lunch. After lunch ride and then on to the hotel near the lake for a country style French Moroccan dinner and rest! Overnight stay: Hotel Jnane Tihihit

Day 4: Moulay Brahim / Enter the Atlas (B,L,D)

Transfer from the Jnane Tihihit hotel to the sleepy mountain village of where the Sufi Saint Moulay Brahimis buried. Ride from the village above the tree line and then down through the enter the Atlas route back to the lake for lunch and then an after lunch ride. Take a swim and then enjoy a dinner poolside fresh from the farm at Janane Thahit. You will find sleep easily in the cedar lined rooms! Overnight stay: Hotel Jnane Tihihit

Day 5: Amizmiz (B,L,D)

You will set off at 9am after breakfast towards the area around Amizmiz, which is well know for mountain biking. You will lunch in Amizmiz and then set out for customized trails that provide a good mix of scenery as well as challenging up hill and down hill sections. After a break again in Amizmiz you will then head on back to Lake Toukerkoust for a dinner and then back to the hotel for one final night. Overnight stay: Hotel Jnane Tihihit

Day 6: Desert Agafay to Marrakech (B,L)

Pack up the bags, which will go by vehicle you are heading back to Marrakech by bike. Enjoy breakfast and head straight through the Agafay desert like a Laurence of Arabia on a bike. Through the rolling dunes, camels and a lunch in tents caps off the adventure. You will then be transferred back to your Marrakech hotel full of great memories!
